I started sculpting at the Academy for Craftsmanship in Amsterdam. Early on I was drawn to the freedom of abstract art. No longer limited by the shapes of visual reality, I created sculptures with massive shapes. To play with aesthetics is my greatest joy,
it transports me to surreal creative dreams.
Throughout the years, my sculptures grew, space surrounding them became increasingly important. Sculptures multiplied into installations and landscapes. They became visual stories.
Since 2017 I collaborate with Sabrina. She is an incredible expressionist painter. Her approach to painting is opposite to the way I construct and build. We keep learning from each other and fuse our skills to create new art. Without compromise we are able to combine our ideas, which is wonderful.
